Urban Jungle
EnnVee (EnnVee)
I like how you connected the palette to a plant theme. The pointed ears and shape of the eyes give this character an elvish look that coincides with the plant theme, being a woodland race (at least in D&D). My one nitpick would be the pants. I’d try rough leather, maybe. But, that’s just a personal preference combined with my projections on to who or what this character is.
Sheriff Gumshoe (Zekiran_Immortal)
A clever combination of genres (western and “noir”) with a peculiar choice of power sets. Granted, I can see the baseball bat doubling as a police baton, but the tech shield really clashes here. Still, it’s an overall nice use of the palette showcasing the brown as the primary color.
Suburban Dream (Memphis_Bill)
Using the palette on an environmentally minded character was a good idea. I like the costume from the waist up, but the shorts and thigh highs aren’t working for me. At the very least, I’d suggest changing the thigh highs to something else.
College Grad (Angel_Red)
It’s Peter Parker with long hair! Seriously though, this is a nice job on an otherwise “plain” archetype. Good use of color with an excellent balance. Nice job.
Commander Minty Chip (BlackberryThorn)
I laughed out loud when I saw the group shot of the mean green feline fighting machine. Major brownie points for the creative use of the cyborg face. It really does help with the cat appearance. I’m gonna steal this trick. :p The overall look works well. There’s a definite chocolate mint flavor going on here. I’m not crazy about the valkyrie cape in this instance, but for a “from scratch” toon, that’s the only traditional cape you have access to.
Concrete Jungle (Nyte_Shaide)
A simple, yet effective, design that emphasizes “jungle” with enough brown in the mix for a well-balanced costume. Some screenshots closer to the figure would help show off the details more.
Omega Burst (Seraff)
Even though I wouldn’t consider this color scheme very Golden Age-y, you made it work with your choice of costume pieces. It’s simple, and the omega chest emblem makes it pretty self-explanatory, too.
Plumber's Crack (Barron_)
Despite the humorous nature of such a character name, you did an excellent job of bringing the concept to life. It works well.
Dieter Von Straub (Gaspard)
Here’s an eclectic selection of costume elements that work well together. I could definitely see this guy leading a faction of Hydra in any Marvel comic. The chest looks like a Roman piece, but what are the boots?
Mezmerelda (Starwind)
The combination of tunic and jester mask makes me think this character would be right at home in the Festival of Fools (or whatever that event was called) from Hunchback of Notre Dame. The chains sort of detract from that impression, though. I’d consider losing the scarf/cape as it doesn’t really add anything to the design.
Commander Havoc (Tripp_Hazzard)
If this guy were a little bulkier, I could see him leading a squad of similarly armored troops on a far away jungle planet. Nice design.
And the winner is...Dieter Von Straub!
