Cerebrotron (SN0WJ0B)
Here is a good blend of tech and robotic parts and an appropriate selection of colors. The blue and the gold complement each other well. The couple touches of red add a nice accent to the overall design, and the exposed brain works thematically without going over the top.
Transcended (westfallen)
I really like this one. I’m envious because I don’t have any of the Vanguard pieces, myself. I do wish you could create a new character using these pieces. Maybe it will be a future veteran’s reward? Regardless, I really like the blue/teal and gold color scheme with the red. I’d like to see it with the teal color in place of the black for effect.
Biosphere (Morgenstern)
I’m going to pretend this is some sort of Terminator-like cyborg where all the technical bits are under the synthetic skin, thanks to the targeting eye beam. The first thing I noticed was that the hair and shoulders look to be the same color. Now, that might be a texture thing, but I still think it’s something to avoid. Black and neon green are a cool looking pair of contrasting colors. I’ve used them on a few toons, myself.
Thermocouple (Angel_Red)
I’m all for a variety of body types, but in some shots his head looks huge. I’m sure that’s just an effect of the helmet pieces, but I felt the need to point and laugh at the freaky kid with the huge noggin. Maybe it’s just the lighting, but I’d like to see a brighter orange or yellow color against the dark red so that the perplex details pop a little more. Otherwise, he’s fantastically techy.
Death Hunt (Vulcanite)
I’d like to see some larger, more detailed shots. It’s tough to make out his head. As a matter of fact, the one thing I clearly recognize is that I don’t recognize that chest pattern. That’s not electron, is it? I do like the color scheme. The black and gold look nice together, and I like the way the white pieces sort of sit on top.
Bushiborg (Genkio)
Clever name! This is an excellent mix of technological and historical costume pieces. And the colors really help unify the whole thing into one cohesive costume. Nice job! You could probably do without the cape, though.
The Vanguard Vixen (Wyld_Card)
Unfortunately, your entry suffers the same way Death Hunt’s does with too small/too far away screenshots. I like the overall look, but I’m afraid I can’t really comment beyond that since I can hardly make out a few of the costume pieces used.
Shrapnelnator (Gaspard)
The name may not be the smoothest, but it’s not a tongue twister either. I’m guessing by the mace that this is an Arachnos Soldier? Regardless, I really like this one. The greys are sufficiently light enough to contrast against the black, and the bright red hood and cape gives him a focal point. Nice job!
Titan of Industry (mousedroid)
I really like this one. It's fun, and creative. Sure, it's a robot wearing business attire, but it doesn't fall into the trap of silliness. Nice job!
