Soviet Rebellion Palette
Siberian Spring (Siberian_Spring)
I like the overall scheme of this costume, and I definitely like how you limited the black to the secondary costume elements (boots, gloves, shoulders, etc.), leaving the bulk of the design red and yellow. I change the long witch gloves to something shorter, since their detail ends up covered by the valkyrie shoulders. The chest emblem could use some more pop. I'd try some different color combinations, and if that doesn't work I might consider dropping it altogether, especially with the justice chest piece.
Maksim Vasilii (Angel_Red)
I really like this look. He reminds me of Cervantes from the Soul Calibur games. He seems a little heavy on the red, though. Did you try using black as an exterior color on the cape/high collar? I think that would help break up that large mass of red.
Crimson Hammer (SN0WJ0B)
Overall, I think this is a good design. I'm not a huge fan of the long-ass "swept" shoulders, but I can live with it. I like the distribution of colors and the clever combination of elements for the helmet. I would, however, make the visor a different color (in this case, black), in order to separate it from the rest of the already red helmet. The giant glove on the left hand is perfect for imagining it as the source of the energy shield, and the robotic right arm makes me think of enhanced strength to wield such a large warhammer.
Pele's Daughter (Morgenstern)
I'm not entirely sure what you're going for here, but I'm not crazy about the faux barefoot look. Is she golden-skinned or is it something else entirely? It's simple, yet effective as a character design.
Myster Fayte (Tripp_Hazzard)
Here's an effective look using most of the new magic booster without going overboard. I'd like to see a better use of orange, rather than being tucked away under the coat. Perhaps the interior of the cape or the folded over parts of the sleeves and boots?
Ol' Sawbones (Genkio)
This is an excellent design for a villain (please tell me he's a villain!), however, I really don't like those large boots. They just seem so overly chunky. I'd also like to see some orange on the trim of the high collar.
Commissar Captain (westfallen)
My first reaction: too much red. Second: where's the orange? Maybe it's the screenshots, but I don't see it in there. I would try a couple things to break up all of that red. First, use a different color on the trim of the high collar - it's a great way to separate large areas of overlapping color. Second, try making the pants black, and third, use a contrasting color on the interior of the cape.
Kuvernoori (Gaspard)
Very nice work on the helmet. I like it. I think you've got a great black-yellow-red combo going on up top, but then you get to the boots and it's just black and red. Try making them red with yellow trim. And try not to use black on the belt - it is lost in the black of the coat.
The Siberian Tigeress (Zekiran_Immortal)
Someone get this girl some pants! It's kind of funny that she's wearing a vest to cover up top, but nothing to cover her naughty bits. Bad humor aside, you've got a good color scheme going on. The limited use of black is especially good for breaking up all of those warm colors.
Supersickle (jslash40)
I like the shoulder/high collar combination you're using, but the cape itself isn't doing anything for me. I'd simplify it. I might also consider using orange instead of black on the cyborg gloves and boots.
The Scarlet Duchess (GrayHuntress)
I don't know if this was your intent, but this character screams "villainess". The dark eyes and the emotes you've displayed are perfect for a such a character. The spiked belt is perfect for a subtle reminder of her alignment. I like the pieces you've chosen, but the lighting in these screenshots makes it difficult to discern which color is which.
Redux (Grower)
As far as costume pieces go, this is a good look for a robotic/cybernetic character. I'm not entirely sure this is the right color palette for such a character, but we'll run with it. The first thing I notice is a slight disconnect between the top and bottom halves of the design. On the top, you've got most of the colors in the palette, but on the bottom, you're only using red and black. I would recommend spreading the colors around more, or at the very least, find a way to repeat some of the warm colors in the legs.
Da Red Ripper (Thornster)
There is a good distribution of colors in this design. However, it looks like you compartmentalized them with reds above the waist and orange below the waist. Using the yellow as an accent is fine, and works well here. I would like to see the colors spread throughout the design some more.
Starcrossed Soviet (HochroterDache)
There is an awful lot of black on black in this design. I would recommend changing the coat to a different color and leaving the black pieces underneath or vice versa. I would also make the high collar and baron boots the same color scheme since they both exhibit the occult styling.
Vulcannette (Vulcanite)
I like most of this design. I like the use of the yellow and orange colors against the black. There's a lot of contrast there, making it more striking. However, I think it looks like you were looking for someplace to use the red, and the legs just happened to be one of the few pieces left. I would make the eyes one of the red colors, and then use the other red instead of the yellow on the gloves. Then, I would repeat that pattern on the boots. Finally, I'd use a different pattern on the legs and make it match the scheme of the torso.
Soviet Supreme (Spinomania)
I like the selection of pieces in this design. His head is especially menacing. However, I think there's too much red. I would spread the black around to remedy this. A few good places to do this would be the shoulders, gloves, boots, and belt. It also doesn't look like you used the orange color anywhere. The belt would be a good place for that, too.
And the winner is...Ol' Sawbones!
