Hot Memorial Day
Lady Flora (Mr_Hellcat)
I like this design. It's simple and clean with a clear delineation of shapes and colors. I'm going to guess that you used both orange tones in the hair. The choice of color for skintone does a good job of reflecting her name and what I can only assume are her powers. Nice job.
Arnica Linnaeus (Angel_Red)
I like that you went in the opposite direction of Flora - with the warmer colors being more dominant. It gives the leather texture an older, worn look that immediately conjurs images of old fighter pilots and the Rocketeer. Unfortunately, the bow and cape muddiesthat up leaving me with a sense of "what's this character supposed to be?"
Tan ger Ine (EnnVee)
There's absolutely nothing about this design that says "super", but I like it. She looks like she's going to be fighting crime straight from the gym. This is a good mix of colors and costume pieces.
Tinted Justice (Vivace)
I really like your choice of costume pieces, but I think they would look so much better with a red, white, and blue palette. As a matter of fact, I think I'll steal that for myself! :p Still, you've distributed the color usage well and created something that may just work well with many palettes. Hmm... that just gave me an idea for a possible theme to use in the future.
The Cost of Freedom (Zekiran_Immortal)
This is also a very nice entry. I like the way the yellow and teal colors go together in the wings, and I like the effect you get when using both oranges on the ulterior costume parts. However, I wonder what it might look like with a combination of orange and turquoise.
Dead Eye Jen (PowerStream)
I like this entry. There's only a couple suggestions I have. The first would be to use a different color on the boots. They can be a combo of both oranges or the yellow and an orange, but I'd avoid blending them in with the pants like that. The second would be to try yellow on the star pattern of the cape's exterior (and possibly the interior as well). I think it would just make the cape look more interesting than if it stay smonochromatic like that.
Model JUST01B (Nanokin)
Unfortunately, the image you submitted was much too small. For future refeence, please visit the home page for more info on submissions. I will try and give you some feedback on what you did submit, though.
From what I can tell, it looks like you did a great job at creating separation within your design by using the colors. I might consider changing the belt to match the shoulders, though. As for the head, well... it's too small to see much detail.
And the winner is...Dead Eye Jen!
Send me a PM with your head sketch request and a link to reference! (Remember it's a head sketch, so far away shots won't be helpful.)
