Cold Cold Cold Winter Night
Arctic Black (Oathbound)
Good use of contrasting colors in a dark-light pattern. I also like how you blended the star pattern of the legs into the white of the boots. Overall, a well-blended assortment of costume pieces.
Arctic Claw (CoyoteKid)
I like this design overall, except for two things: 1) I think you chose the least unhappy beast face of them all, which sort of contradicts your back-story where you say “he doesn’t have to be happy about.” Show us he’s not happy! 2) The boots aren’t working for me here. Did you try the combat boots? They might work better here. My last, nit-picky thing would be the different colors between his head and the rest of his upper body, but that’s probably the game’s fault.
Moonstruck (EnnVee)
This is an eclectic selection of costume pieces. I’m not entirely sure what you were going for, but I can say that my eye is constantly pulled towards the sinister pattern of the legs. I think you should try and repeat that turquoise-y color somewhere above the waist, too. I like the limited use of white, and I’d also like to suggest limiting it further by taking it out of the boots, and using a combination of blues instead.
Retail Retali8r (Zekiran_Immortal)
Here is an obviously winter-themed costume! I like the predominant use of white, as well as the non-traditional blue fur trimming on the boots and gloves. I am curious as to why you chose that cape in particular instead of the scarf (which would complete the winter ensemble).
Kid Winter (Toolloot)
Harry Potter jokes aside, I think you’ve got a good design going on here. It looks very militaristic and formal at the same time. The cape perplexes me. My instinct is to say “ditch it”, but at the same time I kind of like the effect. I would suggest dropping the spikes on the epaulets if this is a hero design.
Abominable Snowgirl (ArticPathos)
This is a nice design! I like the dark blue-blue-dark blue pattern of the body, as well as the mask with hair + ninja mask combo. I have two suggestions: 1) use the same blue of the gloves on the boots and 2) throw some white in there. It could just be the belt, the trim of the shoulder pads, or even a solid white snowflake emblem. Hell, try all three at the same time and see how you like them.
nameless snow angel (Genkio)
This is an interesting design. I like the effect you get when combining the reaper mask and the eye-slit mask. It’s non-descript and dehumanizing, making this a possible puppet or mannequin of some sort. My first suggestion would be to lose the jewel chest piece. You can barely see it with the way the reaper piece drapes over it. Also, I might try making the wings white and the lightest blue color for some separation from the body, as well as an angelic look.
Jean Calumet (Memphis_Bill)
Good mix of costume pieces, and the color pattern has a nice flow to it. I might try making the shoulders match the gloves and boots or at least switch up the scheme enough that they don't merge into the arms. Also, I'd make the belt white, turning it into an accent, plus it would stand out nicely against that dark blue of the body.
Laodicean (Angel_Red)
This one is off to a good start. I would suggest spreading the colors around a little more. The blue used on the chest doesn't look like it appears anywhere else, which sort of turns it into a beacon. Then again, that could be your intended affect. Some white or lighter blue would look good as the trim on the shoulder pads.
unnamed (Drewyn)
Due to the lighting and the size of the image, there are some areas I'm unclear about, but it looks pretty good so far. I like the lighter color used as the detail lines of the boots, and I also like the contrast of white on the dark blue of the chest plate (Roman, I assume). The one thing I would suggest changing is the color combo used on the shoulders. I would keep either white or the light blue, then use a darker color to offset the other. I might also consider ditching the scarf.
Iceline (Starwind)
I love the way all those elements on the head blend together as if that's how they were meant to be presented. An all-around nice job using different pieces and contrasting colors. I am curious, though, why you chose a different shade of blue on the cyborg shoulders than that of the belt and boots. Try making those three pieces uniform in color, and then using the turquoise color with the white on the gloves.
Icepick (BlackberryThorn)
Great use of a variety of costume pieces and contrasting color patterns. All of the jagged edges and points in the design really help emphasize the nature of an icepick. The spikes give this design a bit of villainous intent. Nice job.
Winter's Cry (Peteycat)
This design also showcases a good variety of pieces as well as contrasting color patterns. Whereas the pointed nature of the mask worked in Icepick's favor, I think this one could go without. I might also choose a different belt. This one seems a little heavy for that jacket. And for consistency's sake, I'd probably match the gloves and boots colors/patterns.
Nytrane (Tripp_Hazzard)
I can't quite tell - is that camouflage he's wearing? If so, I might consider using a blend of the lightest and darkest colors. Conceptually, it'd make a nice "urban camo" look. And in keeping with that theme, I'd either use the Stealth chest detail or ditch the straps completely. They're not serving any function here. All in all, this scheme is pretty flat. Where's the white and the teal/turquoise color? Don't be afraid to mix it up more.
Frostmaker (Coldcrash)
Those valkyrie wings work so well here because they look like they're built entirely out of ice. You're off to a good start. I like the mix of colors, but the chest is looking kind of bland. Throw in a chest detail and a belt, and you could really improve this one.
Bunny Slope (Morgenstern)
Nice looking screenshots! Very crisp and clear. I like the balance between dark and light shades. I'm not sure about the rough leather boots. Perhaps something sleeker would work best?
Judge Midnight (ddgryphon)
From what I can see, I like this entry. It looks like it has a creepy "Mask of Phantasm" thing going on. Have you tried taking screenshots from the costume creator? Those tend to work best, in most cases. Do the chains have any conceptual reasons behind their inclusion?
And the winner is...Iceline!
